Privacy Policy for Nursery Rhymes Offline

Kozos (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Nursery Rhymes Offline mobile application (“App”). The App is designed for children and families and provides nursery-rhyme audio, synchronized lyrics, parental controls, notifications, and related features.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is stored or processed when the App is used, why it is used, and the choices available to parents and guardians.

1. Information Stored on the Device

A parent or guardian may optionally create a local child profile containing:

• Child’s first name or nickname

• Age

• Birthday

• Screen-time preferences

• Notification preferences

• App settings and playback preferences

This information is stored locally on the user’s device. Kozos does not transmit the child’s profile name, age, or birthday to its own servers.

Child-profile and notification-preference files are excluded from the App’s Android cloud backup configuration.

Parents can remove this information by clearing the App’s data, using any available reset controls, or uninstalling the App.

Parents should use a nickname instead of a child’s full legal name.

2. Information Processed Automatically

The App uses services provided by Google and Firebase. These services may automatically process limited technical information, such as:

• App version and installation information

• Device type, operating-system version, language, and general region

• App interactions and feature usage

• Advertising impressions and interactions

• Crash reports, stack traces, and diagnostic information

• App startup time, network performance, and other performance measurements

• Notification-delivery information and a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token

• Internet Protocol address and other technical information required to provide, secure, and measure the services

This information is used to operate the App, understand general usage, diagnose crashes, improve performance, deliver notifications, prevent fraud, and display appropriate advertising.

We do not use this information to identify a child by name.

3. Advertising

The App displays advertisements using Google Mobile Ads.

Because the App is intended for children and families:

• Ad requests are configured for child-directed or age-restricted treatment.

• The maximum advertisement content rating is set to “G.”

• The App requests non-personalized advertising.

• Advertising is intended to be contextual rather than based on a child’s interests.

• The App does not request the Google Play Advertising ID permission.

• The App does not use app-open advertisements.

Google and its advertising partners may process limited device, network, fraud-prevention, and advertisement-interaction information to deliver, limit, secure, and measure advertisements.

Parents may be offered an optional rewarded advertisement behind a parental-verification step. Watching a rewarded advertisement is voluntary.

4. Firebase Services

The App uses the following Firebase services:

Firebase Analytics

Firebase Analytics helps us understand aggregated App usage, such as which screens or features are used and whether the App is functioning as expected.

Firebase Crashlytics

Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports and diagnostic information that help us identify and fix technical problems.

Firebase Performance Monitoring

Firebase Performance Monitoring measures technical performance, including startup time and network behavior, so we can improve reliability.

Firebase Cloud Messaging

Firebase Cloud Messaging may process a device registration token and notification-delivery information to deliver App notifications.

5. Notifications

With permission from the parent or device user, the App may display local reminders and notifications.

Notification permission can be denied or withdrawn at any time through the device’s system settings. Disabling notifications does not prevent the main nursery-rhyme features from working.

6. Information We Do Not Request

The App does not request access to:

• Precise location

• Contacts

• Camera

• Microphone

• Photos or videos

• Phone calls or text messages

• Financial or payment information

• Government identification numbers

The App does not provide public profiles, social networking, chat, or user-to-user messaging.

7. How Information Is Used

Information processed through the App and its service providers is used only for purposes such as:

• Providing nursery-rhyme playback and App features

• Saving local settings and parental controls

• Delivering requested notifications

• Displaying child-appropriate advertisements

• Measuring App reliability and general usage

• Diagnosing crashes and technical problems

• Improving performance and user experience

• Protecting the App and advertising services from fraud or abuse

• Complying with applicable laws and platform requirements

We do not sell a child’s personal information.

We do not use a child’s local profile information for advertising, analytics, or behavioral profiling.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is designed for children and families. Parents and guardians are expected to supervise its use and manage parental settings.

We do not knowingly ask children to provide an email address, telephone number, precise location, photograph, account credentials, or other direct contact information.

The optional child-profile information remains on the device and is not sent to Kozos. Technical information processed by Google services is handled according to Google’s privacy policies and the child-directed configuration used by the App.

If you believe personal information from a child has been transmitted to us unexpectedly, please contact us. We will investigate and take appropriate steps to delete it where reasonably possible.

9. Parental Choices and Controls

Parents and guardians can:

• Avoid entering child-profile information

• Use a nickname instead of a full name

• Change or remove local profile information

• Disable notifications in Android settings

• Clear the App’s storage

• Uninstall the App

• Contact us with a privacy or deletion request

Clearing App storage or uninstalling the App deletes information stored locally by the App. Some aggregated or diagnostic information previously processed by third-party services may be retained according to those providers’ policies and legal obligations.

10. Data Sharing

We do not operate a server that receives the child’s local profile information.

Limited technical information may be processed by Google service providers that help us provide:

• Advertising

• Analytics

• Crash reporting

• Performance monitoring

• Push notifications

• Google Play services and distribution

These providers process information under their own privacy policies and applicable data-protection terms. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users, investigate fraud or security incidents, or protect our legal rights.

11. Data Retention

Local child-profile information and settings remain on the device until they are changed, cleared, or the App is uninstalled.

Technical, analytics, advertising, crash, performance, and notification information is retained according to the settings and retention practices of Google and Firebase.

Messages sent directly to our support email may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information associated with the App. However, no device, network transmission, storage system, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Parents should protect their devices with appropriate security controls and avoid entering unnecessary identifying information into the child-profile fields.

13. International Processing

Google and other service providers may process technical information in countries other than the user’s country. Their processing is governed by their applicable privacy policies, contractual safeguards, and legal obligations.

14. External Links and Parent-Directed Actions

Some parent-only areas may provide links to external services, such as the privacy policy, sharing options, or the Google Play Store. These actions are placed behind parental controls where appropriate.

Once an external website or application is opened, its own privacy policy and terms apply.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when App features, service providers, laws, or platform requirements change.

The revised policy will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Parents and guardians should review this policy periodically.

If a change materially affects how children’s information is handled, we will provide appropriate notice where required.
